For Setup, the Netgear router, install the Nighthawk app on your smartphone.
How to set up a Netgear router?
- Connect your modem via ethernet cable to the internet port of the Netgear router.
- Connect your laptop or computer to the internet port on the NetGear router
- Now press the power button of the router(check the LEDs lights of the Netgear router)
- Now open your internet browser and open routerlogin.net
- Now login to you Netgear Wifi router
- The default username is admin and the default password is password
- Now click on Advanced and go to the setup wizard.
- Now select yes radio button and click on next.
- After click on next now your router is detecting your internet connection, then you are prompt for Login
- After that Enter and confirm your fresh admin password
- Now give two answers to the security questions of your choice.
- Click on Next
- Congratulations Page display now
- Then an optional step is there (Click for print this for printing your network settings)
- Click on Next.
- Then a Firmware upgrade assistant page showing.
- if an upgrade for firmware is not available, then click ok
- your Netgear router setup is complete
- Or if the firmware upgrade is available then click on Update firmware.
- After firmware updated the router will reboot.
- Again it is asking for login
- then log in with your new password
- Home page open
- Netgear router setup is complete
